The business communities in Ogom sub-county have banned the sub-county chairperson and his entire family from doing business with the entire business fraternities following the arrest of a businessman over alleged debts he owes locals.
This comes after the release of Denis Okot on bond over confiscating Ogom sub-county chairperson’s motorcycle Yamaha-made with registration number LG 0046/098 on 15th March, when the sub-county chairperson failed to clear his debt amounting to Sh. 119,000.
Joel Aboda, Ogom sub-county chairperson for the business community during the meeting which Bosco Amone, Ogom chairperson was expected to attend but didn’t, said that the business community has on 15th banned the family of the sub-county chairperson from buying items from any business person in Ogom.
He added that Amone must pay all the debts amounting to over Sh. 500,000 shillings he owes to the business community to prevent further actions from the business community.
However, Amone declined to attend the meeting despite being informed about it. It’s reported that he insisted that he will not attend the meeting, and he can buy items from nearby places other than Ogom.
