16 Nodding Syndrome, Epileptic Students Graduates from Alarm Technical Institute, Pader






A total of sixteen graduands suffering from epilepsy and nodding syndrome on 21st October 2022 graduated from Alarm technical and peacebuilding center after completing their 3-month certificate course from The Directorate of Industrial Training under the Ministry of Education and Sports.


The sixteen graduands; which included three girls and thirteen boys pursued certificate courses in various fields such as; Motorcycle repair, Bricklaying, concrete practice, Hairdressing, carpentry, and, Garments designs and cutting with support from Caritas Gulu archdiocese, Pader branch.


Ambrose Okello and Lilian Abalo who were among the epileptic graduates hailing from Awere sub-county in Pader said that they are very happy about what Caritas did to them during their tenure in school.

Rev. Stephen Olika Enenu, the principal of the Alarm technical and peacebuilding center said that the Caritas Gulu archdiocese supported and enabled the smooth studies of these students.

Mr. Milton Odongo, the Pader district resident commissioner who was the chief guest during the ceremony pledged that the government would support the studies of such categories of people including getting them jobs.


The school was founded in 2010 by Rev. Celestine Masereke and has an enrolment of 220 students, where there are 157 boys and 63 girls.
