431 Workers Sworn-in in Pader District


Pader district local government has on Wednesday, 9th sworn-in over 400 workers following the recently concluded recruitment process held at the district headquarters.


These 431 workers comprise of teachers, clinical officers, heads of departments that were newly recruited in the recruitment that took place between 25th October to 20th December of 2021.

Alex Chelimo, Pader district chief administrative officer while giving his speech stated that there were some delays due to limited funding needed to facilitate the services of the district service commission (DSC).


Chelimo added that there were also delays from the resource persons who were needed to conduct the interviews of the applicants. He further reminded the recruited workers that induction is a process that builds one to begin work, and be


ethical without fear, favor or discrimination.

He warned that one risks dismissal or disqualification from the public job/office, since the probation period is up to six months, and urged them to be mindful of confidentiality.


Fearless Obwoya Oyat, Pader district chairperson congratulated the process of swearing-in of the workers by saying that there were reported elements of corruption that took place during the recruitment process.


He further disagreed with CAO’s advice to the workers of hoarding ‘some’ information by saying that this information are public documents and must be publicly consumed.
