Uganda police and the family of Oketa Charles Okello in Pajule sub-county, Pader district are hunting for a mother of a one-year-old boy who was abandoned on the road following a mild tension between her and her husband for a piece of cloth (kitenge) that she was denied to put on.
Alaro Josephine, age 20 a resident of Lajuluwiny village in Otok Parish, Pajule sub-county abandoned her twelve months old boy child following the feud that took place at around 7 pm on Sunday. She was reported missing at around midnight towards Monday morning after the one-year-old boy was discovered crying alone on the road.
Ongom Charles, age 22 and the father of the boy, according to reporters, said that he immediately took the child to his mother who resides in Wanduku village found in Pajule sub-county.
Meanwhile, Oketa Charles Okello, a resident of Wanduku village, Palenga parish in Pajule sub-county and a father to Ongom Charles says he was not around when the tragedy happened. According to Oketa, the incident took place at around 2:00 am, but the feud was at 7 pm.
Oketa further added that they have reported the case to Pader central police station so that the case be handled according to the law since rights violation is involved in the action.
