Pader district's former youth chairperson is on the run after failing to hand over the district motorbike that was given by the ministry to aid in carrying out youth activities during a handover ceremony that was organized yesterday.
The ceremony that took almost 5 hours included district technocrats such as; the district probation and welfare officer, deputy district security officer, district community development officer among many others.
One of the former district youth executives who preferred anonymity admitted that the motorbike was handed over to the former district youth chairperson by the time they joined leadership. He added that it’s very unfortunate that the former chairperson decided to hoard the motorbike yet it’s government property.
Richard Komakech, former Pader district youth chairperson failed to attend the handover ceremony plus the disappearance of government motorcycle given to youth council leaders.
Quinto Ojok, Pader district youth chairperson admitted that the government motorbike was nowhere to be handed over yet it should have been done. He added that the former district youth chairperson failed to attend the handover despite the fact that he was informed about the occasion.
Richard Komakech, former Pader district youth chairperson’s contacts were all unreachable following a series of calls to get what made him decline to attend the function and issues concerning the motorbike.
It should not end at him running away, immediate legal follow up should accompany this.
