The majority of government projects in Pader district are under investigation by the district executives following several complaints from the public in regards to the deliveries made in relation to what the district got from the central government.
These government projects include; NUSAF 3, Emyooga, Youth Livelihood, Operation Wealth Creation projects among others.
Akena Patrick, a resident of Puranga says that under Northern Uganda Social Action Fund (NUSAF 3) they were given cows, and promised to give a revolving fund to benefit from but all was in vain. He further asked the district to find out where the money could have gone.
According to Patrick, the emyooga project must also be investigated if really the money is there or not because people have wasted money in creating accounts yet there is nothing.
However, Obwoya Fearless Oyat, Pader district chairperson says too much money was given in terms of billions of shillings but there are no impacts of it to people. He added that they are investigating all the projects that benefited from the projects to find out if the money was given or not.
Fearless further said that anybody who will be found to have misappropriated the funds will be held accountable.
