Lamin-cwida P/S Faces Challenges of Seats as Government Plans to Resume Studies

Good Hope Nursery and Primary School, Pader.

Lamincwida primary school in Lamincwida parish, Puranga sub-county are facing challenges of seats as a total number of desks is not proportionate to the total number of pupils in the schools amidst government intention of resuming studies.

Peter Oola, a resident of the Puranga sub-county says that pupils do suffer a lot when they are in school because the school lacks enough seats for the whole population. He adds that the school management and the district should help the pupils as their studies are near.

A series of attempts to contact the headteacher of Lamincwida primary school went futile after the phone could not go through.

Meanwhile, Lam David Komakech, Pader district secretary for education says that the district acknowledges the challenges that the school has faced before the schools were closed. He further adds that it’s the task of the district now to intervene and have the tragedy sorted as soon as possible.

David further urges any development partner who could also intervene and work together with the district local government to sort such shortages of seat schools to ease studies.
