Locals in Alela Parish Arum Sub-County Agago District are living in fear as Stray Buffaloes intrudes their areas and dispersing animals from the nearby kraals.
Peter Okello, a resident of Alela Parish in Arum Sub-County, Agago district confirmed the presence of the stray buffaloes and said the community are not aware of the animals.
He added that the relevant authorities should intervene and prevent the stray animal from causing harm.
Joseph Ocen Awal while talking to our news reporter on a phone call interview confirmed being updated about the animals and said some few members of the community were following the animals and monitoring where it was going.
According to Joseph, his sub county is a place that is prone to wild life since the animals aren’t looked after well from the parks.
Samuel Amanya, Kidepo Valley National Park chief warden acknowledges the presence of the buffaloes in the villages of Shawente, Anyango A and Anyango B heading to Achol-pii by saying that they have made arrangements to withdraw the animals.
Amanya added that the buffaloes haven’t caused any harm yet though there are fear in the locals that it might cause harm.
