Pader town council mayor has urged youths to engage themselves in activities that always deviate them from participating in harmful activities that might be of bad impact on their lives during the long pandemic lockdown.
Currently, the president of the Republic of Uganda has directed a 42-day lockdown is being enforced countrywide to help fight the spread of the deadly covid-19 disease in the country.
In his speech, Fearless Kilama Wod-Acholi, mayor of Pader town council blames parents for the poor development of mindset of the youths in the community that is retarded and can’t focus in the future. He added that their works that pay yet not white-collar in nature such as agriculture and among others.
Fearless Kilama further urged the youths to desist from gambling as this will only drain their little capital that could have been used to open up a local business. He perhaps added that tree planting is one of the best things the youths can do currently as there is no education because of the lockdown.
Kilama cautioned people about the government projects that always delay their works and urged them to do what they can do best, like government relief of covid-19 among others.
