Achol-pii army senior secondary school leaders have decried the scarcity of bedding that has left more than 200 students sleeping on the floor during the women’s day celebration held at Kilak Corner technical institute.
In a letter written by the school headteacher, it’s noted that the 21million budget line was estimated to settle the issue that will see the 200 students sleep in the bed.
One of the students who spoke on anonymity said that they are suffering due to the scarcity of beds. She added that at times they share the bed with friends especially when it’s really cold.
Kainan Okello Charles, Pader sub-county chairperson said that the school has got high numbers of girls which is of good impact on the community. He added that the population, therefore, requires enough beds and immediate intervention from well-wishers.
Fearless Obwoya Oyat, Pader district chairperson stated that it’s touching the lives of the girls studying in the school, and there needs to be fundraising to help them out.
