Leaders attending the budget conference at the district council hall on 1st Nov 2022
Pader district local government has 1st November 2022 presented its budget for the financial year 2023/2024 with an estimate of Shs. 34.7billion during a budget conference held at the district council hall.
All the sub-county leaders submitted their sub-county priorities for the financial year 2023/2024, of which most priorities were infrastructures such as roads, health, and water, among others.
Pader district in the current financial year budget has a budget of Shs. 34.7billion that arises from local revenues, central government transfers, donors, other government grants, and development grants.
Mr. Brian Adonga, the Pader district senior accountant stated in their report that any resources required to implement the additional sector priorities should be realized through efficient allocations by reducing expenditure on non-core activities.
Mr. Chelimo Alex, the Pader district chief administrative officer, however, stated that there needs to expand the tax base for the realization of high revenues to meet the planned priorities.
