Pader District Registers Accumulative 594 Positive Covid-19 Cases
Pader district has registered a surge in covid-19 positive cases totalling 594 as a result of failure to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) given by the health ministry since the district began testing of the suspected cases among the community members.
A total of 7530 samples have been tested since the testing began in the district, which is perhaps less than a quarter of the total population of the categories of people to be tested.
3 referrals have so far been made to Gulu regional referral hospital with deaths of 08 being registered in the district.
191 patients are being monitored in the home-based care systems and a total of 227 contacts are being traced within the district.
The increase in the covid-19 positive cases is due to the failure by people to follow the SOPs put in place and, people must ensure safety always whenever in public so the fight against the pandemic becomes easier
