Pader district local government risk payment of over 100million shillings to Northern Uganda Social Action Fund groups over the failure of payment in time after completion of works assigned.
Two groups are reported to have undertaken vegetative live fencing projects at Lamogi Omeny-ki-mac Primary school in Pajule sub-county from 2018 to 2020.
The affected group benefited from the NUSAF 3 projects 3 years ago but are yet to receive their pay to date despite work completion.

These two groups, through their law firms, Openy Nyafono Advocates and Legal Consultancies have filed a civil case against Pader district local government upon their failure to pay them for the work done despite several appeals they have made to the relevant authorities.
According to the suit, the affected groups now want the district to pay shilling 57 million and shilling 50 million for the damages caused and other costs they met.
Chelimo Alex, Pader district chief administrative officer, admits the normally which the groups stated and he clearly clarifies about the delays of the payments due to the withholding of the payments.
The payments are ready and have already been approved through a supplementary budget before the district council, only waiting for disbursement upon the assertion of work completion by a select committee of the council
