Pader District Leaders have urged couples to work together to promote peace and togetherness during the women’s day celebration in Ajan sub-county that took place on Wednesday, 13th April 2022 held at Atanga primary school playgrounds where the Aruu North Member of Parliament, Santa Okot was the chief guest at the function.
Stella Akongo, the Angagura sub-county chief urge women to work hard and be more independent instead of asking for everything from their husbands.
She further preached peace and harmony to be practiced as it will allow sustainable livelihood in families.

Fearless Obwoya Oyat, the Pader district chairperson stated that women have rights nowadays unlike in the past when they were suppressed by the male gender. He added that the government had taken precautions to enable women to participate in all activities without bias.

Santa Okot, the Aruu North member of parliament tasked the local communities, especially the women council to carry out routine meetings with the girls in schools to empower them through dialogues.
