Pader town council mayor has shunned down the directive given by the district resident commissioner on the issues of a local beverage called “Guu” citing it as one of the jokes he does as usual to the locals in the district.
Kilama Fearless Wod-Acholi, Mayor Pader town council shun the directive on a phone interview about the directive regarding the importation and drinking of the local beverage known as “Guu.” He said that the RDC is always a man of words and not active during the implementation of words he communicates to people.
Fearless further adds that the locals have lost trust in RDC’s words since he doesn’t act according to what he speaks. He adds that people believe in seeing and acting on what they communicate.
However, Fearless urges people to stop drinking the local beverage called “Guu.” He adds that they are investigating alleged alcohol that has been reported to be mixed with chemicals like OMO among others.
Recently, Dusman Okee, Resident district commissioner Pader issued a strong warning in regards to importation of the local beverages among which “Guu” is inclusive not to be imported in the district. He added that anyone found doing so, will be arrested.
