Residents in Pukor sub-county Pader district are very angry about the delay in the replacement of the blind animals as the directives given by the district chairperson have not been followed about the animal replacement which was donated under the NUSAF-3 project.
Last month, three groups received animals under NUSAF, but they were reportedly blind ones too, totalling more than 7.
Obwoya Fearless Oyat, Pader district chairperson intervened and directed all the animals to be withdrawn and brought healthy ones, and there should be a legal process.
However, to the group's dismay, none of the animals has been withdrawn as earlier directed by the district chairperson.
The group members resolved that not the sick animals should be withdrawn in a meeting that they held in the sub-county.
Pukor sub-county chairperson confirmed the resolution made by the group members on the animal's withdrawal and failure by the animal supplier and NUSAF focal person to withdraw the sick animals as earlier directed.
He adds that people are very angry and want the animals to withdraw with immediate effect.
