The Uganda Peoples’ Defense Forces (UPDF) have yesterday, 18th June 2022 registered an average of 50 able-bodied youth and patriotic Ugandans for recruitment into the Uganda Peoples’ Defense Forces (UPDF) at Pajar Primary School, Kaabong District.
Brigadier General David Mugisha, the second in command of the 3 Infantry Division, who doubles as the team leader four in his briefing remarks to the candidates welcomed the promising candidates by saying that they will undergo the recruitment exercise and join the forces.
He called for transparency and professionalism throughout the exercise and informed the candidates of the dos and don’ts while carrying out the training to be patient since the exercise involves several stages.
The national exercise which commenced today (18/6/2022) country-wide rolls out with several stages, including; Briefing, Physical and technical check of academic transcript and National Identity Cards, Aptitude test, and Preliminary Physical examination.
Others include; Physical Exercise, Routine lab investigation, and medical examination, Documentation, Briefing/debriefing, and Transfer to Training Schools.
District Councilor 5 for Sidoko/Kopoth Sub-County, Joseph Lokoru, urged the candidates to maintain discipline and morale as they vie to join the force.
The ongoing national recruitment exercise that will be conducted between 18 June 2022 and 4 July 2022, seeks to absorb Ugandans, who upon completion of training will serve in the regular, professional and specialized units of the UPDF.
