A court in Pader Remands Man to Prison Over Arson

The Pader district chief magistrate court has 18th October 2022 remanded a man for allegedly setting ablaze a grass-thatched hut belonging to Paska Alanyo, from Lapirin, Lokole sub-county in Agago district because of a misunderstanding that emerged.

James Amone, his 30s, a resident of Lapirin village, Ngwero parish, Lokole sub-county in Agago district was remanded after he denied the charges read by the resident state attorney, Mr. Patrick Ojara.


Mr. Ojara stated that the accused person burned the grass thatch hut belonging to Alanyo on the 7th of March 2022 when the duo developed a misunderstanding, he further asked the court that the case be heard at a later date.


Mr. Norobert Noah Ssajjabbi, the Pader district Chief magistrate upon hearing the brief facts from the resident state attorney, remanded the accused pending hearing on the 1st November 2022.
