Police in Pader district have on 19th June 2022 arrested suspected burglars for breaking into Pader-Ogom primary school headteacher’s office and making away with several items including a mooing machine, sugar, cooking oil, and others.
The arrested suspects in Pader central police station are Denish Okot and Bosco Odong Okidi, in their 20s, and all residents of Ogom sub-county in Pader district.
They were accused of racketing theft of items from the headteacher’s office on 18th June 2022 and later arrested by the youth and handed to police.
Okot admitted stealing the items from the office alongside Odong who planned the process.
Meanwhile, Mr. Bosco Amone, the Ogom sub-county chairperson confirmed the arrest and said that theft in Ogom sub-county has increased recently because they are lacking a police outpost.
He added that some of the business people have closed the business due to theft, which he is not happy about it.
A case of burglary and theft has been registered in Pader central police station under vide SD Ref: 19/15/06/2022 as the investigation intensifies.
